Facial Plastic Surgery Vs. Non-Invasive Facial Rejuvenation: Making The Right Choice

With advancements in non-invasive facial rejuvenation options, you have many more choices than you did twenty years ago when it comes to looking younger for longer. You can often delay the need for facial plastic surgery for years with the strategic use of non-invasive injectable treatments.

To find out if non-invasive treatments are the right choice for you, please call Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery today at 720-457-4471 to schedule your consultation.

Advantages of Non-Surgical Options

Of the 17 million cosmetic procedures performed last year, over 15 million of them were non-invasive. It is no wonder that non-surgical options are experiencing this popularity surge among cosmetic patients. Non-surgical treatments have many advantages over traditional surgical options for facial rejuvenation.

Limited or No Downtime

Compared with traditional surgical treatments, non-invasive options are attractive because they often require no downtime before returning to your normal daily activities. Although you may experience some mild redness, swelling, or bruising in the treatment area, you are not limited in returning to work, workouts, or social events. This makes it easy to schedule a non-invasive treatment over a lunch hour or at the end of a busy day and go right back to your regular routine. Surgical procedures on the other hand can take days or weeks of recovery time.

Less Commitment

Although non-invasive options are typically long lasting (anywhere from a few months to over a year), your results are usually not permanent. This makes undergoing non-surgical treatments much more appealing for many patients because you aren’t committing to the new look forever. If for some reason you are not pleased with your results, you can simply wait for them to fade and not repeat them. However, if you love your results, you can simply schedule a follow-up appointment to maintain your youthful looks. If you are not pleased with a facelift, there is little you can do to change your surgical results aside from undergoing another surgery.

Lower Cost

Non-invasive options cost far less than surgical options and can often give you comparable results. We offer financing options through Care Credit, which can be used for any treatment at our office.

Less Fear

Although our skilled plastic surgeons make every effort to provide our patients with a safe surgical experience, every surgery comes with some risk of complications. And that can be scary for a patient. In contrast, non-surgical procedures do not require the use of anesthesia or the need for an incision, which means you don’t have to fear the risks associated with surgery when you choose non-surgical treatments.

More Choices

Because non-invasive treatments generally take less than an hour and require almost no recovery time, our patients can elect the combination of procedures that works best for their individual needs and enjoy the effects of the combination of treatments in a short time period for better overall rejuvenation. For example, BOTOX® Cosmetic injections can be paired with Juvederm® injections for a more youthful facial appearance.

At Park Meadows Cosmetic Surgery, we offer our patients the non-surgical options that we know and trust to give you the long-lasting results you want. During your consultation we can help you select the treatments that are best suited to achieve your desired results and make a treatment plan for your facial rejuvenation.

Kybella®

Kybella is used to break down excess fat under the chin and eliminate that dreaded double chin look. Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable made from deoxycholic acid, a synthetic version of a naturally occurring substance. When injected into the unwanted fat of your double chin, it disrupts those fat cells, which allows your immune system to naturally dispose of them.

Most patients will require more than one treatment to achieve the desired results. Usually 2-6 sessions will be sufficient to reach your cosmetic goals. Treatments are scheduled at least one month apart for optimal effect. Because the fat cells are destroyed during treatment, most patients will not need further treatment once the desired results are achieved.

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX reduces the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles between the brows, across the forehead, and around the eyes (crow’s feet). BOTOX is an FDA-approved injectable made from Botulinum Toxin A, a naturally occurring substance. It works by relaxing the muscles beneath the skin and preventing them from tugging the skin into a wrinkled position.

Final results are seen in about two weeks and will last up to three or four months. Regularly scheduled injections can keep your skin looking smooth and refreshed, and consecutive treatments often result in longer-lasting results.

Juvederm® Fillers

We offer a variety of Juvederm fillers to address your individual cosmetic issues.

  • Juvederm Voluma® XC is the first and only FDA-approved injectable to add volume to cheeks that have begun to sag with age. Results can last for up to two years.
  • Juvederm® XC is an FDA-approved treatment to smooth parentheses lines and wrinkles around your nose and mouth. Results can last up to a year.
  • Juvederm Vollure™ XC  is an FDA-approved treatment that softens facial lines and wrinkles using Vycross technology. Results can last up to 18 months.
  • Juvederm Volbella® XC uses Vycross technology to add volume to your lips and smooths vertical lip lines. Results may last up to a year.
