What Is Belotero Balance?
Belotero Balance is an injectable hyaluronic acid-based filler. Your body naturally produces hyaluronic acid, a hydrating substance that binds to water and provides moisture. You may have seen this popular ingredient before in topical skin care products.
What makes Belotero Balance unique is its smooth, lightweight consistency, which integrates into your skin to treat delicate areas like fine lines around the mouth and under the eyes. Belotero is made specifically to soften etched-in lines without changing your facial shape.
Is Belotero Balance Right for Me?
Everyone has unique aesthetic goals, preferences, and facial features. To find out what filler is right for your situation, please schedule a consultation at our practice.
You may be a candidate for Belotero Balance if you:
- Have stubborn lines above or around your lips (also known as “smoker lines”)
- Want to improve the appearance of nasolabial folds (also known as “smile lines”)
- Have prominent or deficient tear troughs (the groove that begins at the inner corner of your eye)
- Want a quick, non-surgical treatment
- Have healthy skin that is free from any active infection
At Park Meadows Aesthetics, our staff can determine if Belotero Balance is right for you or if you may benefit from a different injectable. Sometimes, a combination of injectable treatments is the most appropriate approach.
What Is the Difference Between Belotero Balance and Other Fillers?
Belotero Balance® is a bit different from other fillers like Juvéderm® and Radiesse®. While those are great for adding volume to areas like your cheeks or jawline, Belotero really shines when it comes to smoothing out fine lines in delicate areas, like around your mouth or under your eyes.
The secret behind Belotero Balance is its unique manufacturing process, which creates a smooth, flexible gel. You’ll love that it completely integrates into your skin for a natural look and feel.
The Belotero Balance® Treatment Process
The Belotero Balance® treatment is quick and straightforward. During your appointment, we’ll cleanse the treatment area and apply a numbing agent for your comfort. The injections are done in just 30 minutes or less. You may have some redness and swelling, which should fade in a few days. Most patients can return to their normal routines immediately.
Your Belotero Balance Results
Belotero Balance begins to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles as soon as it's injected. While individual results may vary, your results may last six months or more. This greatly depends on the treatment area, the amount of product used, and other individual factors.
Post-Treatment Skincare Tips
Taking care of your skin after a Belotero Balance® treatment is simple, but you should follow a few key steps to get the best results:
- Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours to reduce the risk of swelling or bruising.
- Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid prolonged sun exposure for the first 24 hours to prevent irritation.
- Refrain from alcohol consumption for 24 hours to minimize redness and swelling.
- Gently cleanse the treated area, but try not to apply pressure or rub the skin for at least 24 hours.
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect the treated areas from UV exposure.
- Avoid makeup application for 24 hours to reduce the risk of skin irritation.
- Stay hydrated to promote healing and keep your skin healthy.
- Use a cold compress to help with any swelling or discomfort, if needed.
- Follow any other instructions provided by our team.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does Belotero Balance Swelling Last?
It’s perfectly normal to experience some swelling after receiving Belotero Balance. This mild side effect typically fades within several days. If you have swelling that lasts for more than seven days, be sure to contact our team for advice.
You can easily minimize swelling from injectables by following our pre- and post-treatment guidelines. Those guidelines include avoiding alcohol and NSAIDs, minimizing your stress levels, and drinking plenty of water. Talk to our Registered Nurses for more best practices.
How Many Treatments Will I Need for Best Results?
Belotero Balance instantly fills out lines, wrinkles, and folds for immediate cosmetic improvement. You only need one treatment to see noticeable results. However, those results are not permanent.
Most patients find that Belotero Balance lasts approximately six months or longer. Scheduling two or three maintenance appointments a year is the best way to enjoy consistently smooth skin. Our team will gladly work with you to figure out your perfect treatment frequency.
Is Belotero Balance Safe?
You can trust Belotero Balance to help you achieve your cosmetic goals. The safety and efficacy of this FDA-approved injectable have been clinically proven. Belotero Balance does have a unique manufacturing process, but it builds on a long history of using hyaluronic acid to improve wrinkles.
Our team will thoroughly evaluate your candidacy before performing this treatment. We’ll ask about your relevant medical history, allergies, and ongoing skin conditions that may make you ineligible to receive Belotero Balance. The good news is that most patients are great candidates for this injectable.
Do Belotero Balance Injections Hurt?
Belotero Balance is a quick and tolerable treatment. At Park Meadows Aesthetics, we always administer Belotero Balance with lidocaine for your comfort. Our team will also give you ice packs to use before, during, and after your appointment. Know that we want to set you up for success, and we’ll work hard to ensure that you have a great experience!

We partner with Alle, Cherry Financing, PatientFi, CareCredit, and Alphaeon Credit to offer convenient monthly payment options, some with 0% APR. You can also check out our Park Meadows Perks loyalty program and special offers for even more ways to save.
