What Is Procellâ„¢ Microchanneling?
Procell™ Microchanneling is an evolved form of microneedling. It works by creating invisible channels in your skin that trigger a cascade of natural rejuvenation. As they heal, these channels produce new, high-quality collagen, elastin, and other beneficial elements such as peptides and epidermal growth factors. The result is fresher, healthier skin. The use of exosomes following the treatment accelerates the results.
How Does Procellâ„¢ Differ From Traditional Microneedling?
Procellâ„¢ Microchanneling differentiates itself from traditional microneedling treatments through several innovative features and its approach to skin rejuvenation.Â
Micro-filament Technology:Â Unlike traditional microneedling devices that use needles, Procellâ„¢ employs a series of tiny, precise micro-filaments. These filaments create very fine, controlled micro-injuries to the skin. It minimizes the skin damage while stimulating the natural healing process that leads to skin rejuvenation.
AnteAGE Exosomes: By harnessing the power of exosomes in treatments, we are tapping into an innovative approach to anti-aging and regenerative therapies, offering our patients advanced solutions for achieving radiant, youthful skin and healthier hair.
Reduced Downtime and Irritation:Â Procellâ„¢ often results in reduced downtime compared to traditional microneedling. Patients typically experience less redness, swelling, and discomfort, which makes it a more convenient option for those with busy lifestyles or sensitive skin.
What Can Microchanneling Correct and Improve?
Microchanneling and microneedling offer innovative solutions to a variety of skin concerns by harnessing the skin's natural healing processes.Â
Aging Skin, Fine Lines, and Wrinkles
Procellâ„¢ uses advanced, motorized technology that allows for precise control over the depth and speed of the microchanneling process. This precision helps to maximize the stimulation of collagen and elastin production. As you produce new collagen, you'll notice fewer fine lines and wrinkles for a youthful glow. The use of exosomes is an emerging technology and represents a frontier in aesthetic medicine, blending the natural healing capabilities of the body with cutting-edge scientific advancements to deliver unparalleled results.
Uneven Skin Tone and Pigmentation Issues
Procell's technique combines the natural benefits of microneedling with a unique serum delivery system. The process makes the skin more absorbent of active ingredients to specifically target pigmentation and uneven skin tone. It's especially effective in treating sun damage and hyperpigmentation.
Acne and Scars (Including Rosacea)
AnteAGE exosomes can help reduce inflammation and promote healing for acne-prone skin. It can also help improve the appearance of acne scars. Microneedling reduces acne breakouts by improving the skin's texture and reducing sebum production. It can also help treat acne scars by breaking down old scar tissue and promoting collagen production for smoother skin. Procell'sâ„¢ gentle technique also makes it a good treatment for sensitive skin conditions like rosacea. Microneedling strengthens the skin barrier and reduces overall redness and inflammation.
Loose Skin
Traditional microneedling boosts collagen production and naturally makes your skin firmer and tighter. Procellâ„¢ penetrates your skin on a deeper level to be even more effective. It can treat loose skin, especially in the face, neck, and abdomen.
Microchanneling Treatment Areas
Microneedling is a versatile service that can be performed on the face, body and scalp. Procellâ„¢ treatments are ideal for the forehead, cheeks, chin, jawline, and eye area. They can also improve the appearance of cosmetic concerns above the lip and around the mouth. We even perform Procellâ„¢ sessions on the scalp to help stimulate hair growth.
From the neck down, Procellâ„¢ has been used to target sagging arm skin, stomach stretch marks, wrinkles and laxity above the knees, and other concerns in various areas of the body.
Are There Any Contraindications With Microchanneling?
Procellâ„¢ Microchanneling is not right for everyone. You may not be a good candidate for this skincare service if you have an underlying condition that impairs your immune system. Certain medical treatments and treatment histories may also disqualify you from getting Procellâ„¢.
You may need to avoid Procellâ„¢ if you have:
- Uncontrolled diabetes
- Chronic inflammatory skin disease
- Bleeding disorders
- Active radiation or chemotherapy treatments
- Stainless steel allergies
You should not do this treatment if you have been on Accutane within the past two years. It's also discouraged for women who are currently pregnant or nursing. Talk to our team to learn more.
Preparing For Your Procellâ„¢ Microchanneling Treatment
- If you get cold sores regularly, taking acyclovir or valcyclovir starting one day prior to your microchanneling will reduce the likelihood of a breakout due to your treatment.
- Discontinue retinol (2% or higher) or tretinoin at least three days prior to treatment.
- For your first treatment, you can expect mild redness, swelling, and a tight, warm sensation for between four and 24 hours.
- Later treatments with longer needle lengths may require topical numbing cream and can produce redness and swelling along with tiny flecks of redness for between four and 72 hours.
- If your liver, kidneys, and immune system are healthy, taking an NSAID such as Ibuprofen two hours before treatment may reduce any discomfort.
- Please come to your appointment without makeup on and with a clean (for men, clean-shaven) face. Plan to arrive 20 minutes early to receive numbing cream.
- If you've had Botox, Fillers, or Threads injected, you must wait at least two weeks before getting microchanneling. You must be satisfied with the results before we offer you any other treatments.
The Procellâ„¢ Microchanneling Procedure
A microneedling treatment with Procellâ„¢ is a simple and relatively painless process. A trained member of our aesthetic team will begin by cleansing your skin. Then, they will apply a numbing cream, allowing it to sit for 10 to 15 minutes before removing it. This step helps minimize any potential discomfort.
From there, they will turn on the Procellâ„¢ device and stamp it gently across the skin. The treatment tips are interchangeable, allowing for a customized session. After treating a section of your face, your provider will apply the exosomes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Microchanneling Hurt?
The idea of microchanneling certainly sounds intimidating. But in reality, the treatment causes minimal discomfort. Many patients report feeling no noticeable pain, often thanks to numbing cream. We also recommend taking Advil or Tylenol 2 hours prior to your appointment.
Another perk is that Procell™ causes no lingering discomfort. Instead, it may leave the skin with a tight sensation. This effect is temporary and will subside after your treatment session.
Am I a Candidate for Procellâ„¢ Microneedling?
Most people who want to improve the tone and texture of their skin are ideal candidates for Procell™. The treatments are safe for all skin types and tones. Whether your skin is dry or oily, fair or dark, you can likely benefit from this exciting new complexion rejuvenation technology. The treatments are also appropriate for people who struggle with chronic acne breakouts.
Make sure you visit a provider who has microchanneling experience. A properly conducted microchanneling treatment offers excellent results without hyperpigmentation or other side effects.
How Many Procellâ„¢ Microchanneling Treatments Will I Need for Best Results?
One Procell™ treatment can offer visible improvement in your skin concerns, while a series of three treatments monthly can provide a more dramatic transformation. Following that series of three, we find that quarterly maintenance is optimal. With our expertise, we can create an ideal plan for you and show you how to make your results last.
What Is Recovery Like After Procellâ„¢ Microchanneling?
Procell™ treatments don't require any downtime and won't keep you from your daily routine. We provide a post-treatment mask that contains hyaluronic acid. This mask will comfort, hydrate, and rejuvenate your skin. We will also give you a week's worth of serum to apply, as well as additional aftercare instructions to follow for the best outcome.
Procell™ Microchanneling is unique in that it offers maximum stimulation with minimal inflammation. You'll likely experience a day of mild redness that you can easily cover with mineral makeup.
Wait at least 90 minutes before you apply any skincare products or makeup. Your skin may look pink or light red during this time. After 90 minutes, you can apply moisturizer or other products as needed. It may help to take Advil or Tylenol 2 hours before your treatment.
Be aware that your skin may be sensitive for a few days. Avoid strong topicals and apply sunscreen during that time to prevent irritation and maximize your treatment results.
Do You Offer Anything for Pain or Anxiety Related to My Treatment?
Yes! We are excited to offer the addition of Pro-Nox to any treatment or procedure at Park Meadows Aesthetics! Pro-Nox (Nitrous Oxide), also known as laughing gas, helps patients to relax, yet remain awake during treatment and is delivered through a small mask over the nose. As the gas begins to work, the patient becomes less agitated and nervous. The effects of nitrous oxide are mild. It is safe to use, and quickly eliminated from the body. If you're interested in adding this to your treatment or procedure, let us know!
