Skin laxity, acne scars, enlarged pores, and uneven texture can all lead you toward collagen-stimulating treatments, but Morpheus8 and Procell™ MicroChanneling work in distinct ways. At Park Meadows Aesthetics in Lone Tree, Colorado, we use both Morpheus8 and Procell MicroChanneling. Taylor, our licensed esthetician, has worked in aesthetics since 2014 and brings a particular interest in skin health to treatment planning.
How Morpheus8 Works Below the Surface
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy. Tiny needles create controlled channels while RF heat reaches deeper tissue, encouraging collagen and elastin production and helping remodel existing tissue. We use it for concerns that can include laxity, fine lines, acne or surgical scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, and uneven texture.
Because Morpheus8 adds radiofrequency energy, it is often a stronger fit when firmness and deeper remodeling are high priorities. Our guide to how Morpheus8 stimulates collagen explains the process in more detail, and our Morpheus8 gallery shows results from patients treated by our team.
How Procell MicroChanneling Differs
Procell creates small, controlled channels with micro-filament technology, prompting the skin’s natural healing response and new collagen and elastin production. At our office, we apply AnteAGE® exosomes as part of the protocol after sections are treated. The microchannels also allow topical products used during the appointment to reach the freshly treated surface.
Procell can be useful for fine lines, pigmentation, acne scarring, uneven texture, and some laxity. Our articles on Procell for acne scars and AnteAGE exosomes provide more detail about these parts of treatment.
What Is Recovery Like?
Recovery is another practical difference to consider. After Morpheus8, redness or faint bruising can last about 48 to 72 hours. Procell can also cause redness, warmth, swelling, or tightness, with visible recovery varying according to treatment depth and how your skin responds.
Rather than assuming one has less downtime, it is better to compare the likely recovery for the settings and areas recommended for you.
Which Treatment Better Matches Your Priorities?
Morpheus8 adds RF energy for deeper remodeling, while Procell relies on controlled microchannels and the skin’s healing response without radiofrequency. If firmness is what bothers you most, Morpheus8 is often the treatment we discuss first. If discoloration, texture, or acne scarring rank higher, Procell can move higher on the list. Our broader skin care services include other options when neither approach fits what you want to improve.
