What Is Juvéderm®?
Juvéderm® is a collection of dermal fillers made with hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance your body naturally produces to keep skin hydrated and plump. Over time, your skin loses HA, which leads to wrinkles, volume loss, and changes in facial contour. Juvéderm® fillers help smooth out these signs of aging by restoring lost volume.
Each product in the Juvéderm® line is specially formulated for different areas of the face, whether that’s softening deep wrinkles, adding fullness to the cheeks or lips, defining the jawline, or even improving skin hydration.
Treatments are quick and non-surgical, with results that can last anywhere from six months to two years, depending on the product used.
Juvéderm® XC to Smooth Lines and Wrinkles
As we age, skin loses volume and elasticity, which can make lines around the nose and mouth more noticeable. Juvéderm® XC steps in to soften those signs of aging by adding volume where it’s needed most.
It’s FDA-approved to treat deeper facial wrinkles and can also be used to gently plump the lips. This filler is made with hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin from within, and results usually last up to a year.
Juvéderm® Vollure™ XC to Soften Facial Wrinkles
Vollure™ XC is a go-to for smoothing moderate to deep wrinkles, especially the lines that run from your nose to your mouth. While it treats similar areas as Juvéderm® XC, Vollure is different in how naturally it moves with your expressions and how much longer it lasts.
Thanks to Vycross® technology, Vollure blends different weights of hyaluronic acid to create a flexible gel that adapts well to facial movement. That means your results look natural even when you’re talking or smiling. It also breaks down more slowly, so results can last up to 18 months.
Juvéderm® Volux® XC to Define the Jawline
If you’ve noticed your jawline starting to lose its definition, Volux® XC might be just what you need. It’s the first filler approved specifically for improving jawline structure.
This hyaluronic acid-based treatment adds volume to your lower face to give you that sculpted look. You can expect results that hold up for about a year with optimal treatment.
Juvéderm® Volbella® XC for Beautiful Lips
Volbella® XC is a great option if you want more shape or fullness in your lips without going overboard. It’s also helpful for softening vertical lip lines that tend to appear over time.
With a lower concentration of hyaluronic acid, this filler minimizes swelling and gives subtle results. Many people still love how their lips look up to a year after treatment.
Juvéderm® Volbella® XC for Tear Troughs and Under Eyes
If you feel like your under-eye area always looks a little tired, Volbella® XC may be a good choice. This is the first filler that’s FDA-approved for treating undereye hollows, and it does a great job of refreshing your look without making it obvious you had anything done.
By adding gentle volume to the tear troughs, it smooths the transition from your lower eyelid to your cheeks. Results typically last about a year and leave you looking more rested and bright-eyed.
Skinvive™ by Juvéderm® to Hydrate and Smooth Skin
Skinvive™ is a newer treatment that’s more about giving you a nice glow instead of more volume. It’s the first FDA-approved injectable that uses microdroplets of hyaluronic acid to smooth the skin on your cheeks.
The treatment is quick and simple, uses a tiny grid of injections just beneath the surface of your skin. Within about a week, you’ll likely notice your skin looks more radiant, which should last for up to six months.

Frequently Asked Questions About Juvéderm®
Is Juvéderm® Painful?
Juvéderm® is tolerated well by our patients. Juvéderm® contains lidocaine, which helps make the treatment more comfortable and tolerable. We can apply a topical numbing cream on the areas of injection up to 30 minutes prior to the treatment, but most people don’t need it.
What Should I Expect Immediately After Juvéderm®?
Immediately after a Juvéderm® injection, you can expect the injection sites to have some redness and swelling. Bruising is common and usually lasts three to seven days. Most patients can easily return to work the next day without any problems other than potential bruising.
Can I Get Botox® Cosmetic and Juvéderm® Treatment at the Same Time?
Yes! In fact, we prefer you combine the appointments if at all possible! BOTOX and Juvéderm® are most often administered together to help reach your facial rejuvenation goals. Plus, it’s more convenient to get the treatment done all at once without needing to come back.

Do You Offer Anything for Pain or Anxiety Related to My Treatment?
Yes! We are excited to offer the addition of Pro-Nox to any treatment or procedure at Park Meadows Aesthetics! Pro-Nox (Nitrous Oxide), also known as laughing gas, can help you relax during treatment. It’s delivered through a small mask over the nose, and you will still be awake during your treatment.
As the gas begins to work, you should feel less nervous. The effects of nitrous oxide are mild. It is safe to use and is quickly eliminated from the body. If you're interested in adding this to your treatment or procedure, let us know!
How Does Juvéderm® Compare to Other Fillers?
Juvéderm® is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler known for its smooth texture and versatility. It’s great for adding volume, softening lines, and hydrating skin, and it’s reversible if needed.
Radiesse® is made with calcium-based microspheres and also stimulates collagen. It’s firmer than Juvéderm®, so it’s often used for deeper wrinkles or jawline contouring, but not ideal for lips or under-eyes.
Belotero® is a lighter HA filler that blends well for fine lines and delicate areas. It’s great for subtle smoothing but tends to wear off sooner.
What Can I Do to Maintain My Juvéderm® Results?
To help your Juvéderm® results last as long as possible, keep your skin healthy and protected. Use sunscreen daily to prevent UV damage, stay hydrated, and follow a good skincare routine. Avoid smoking, which can break down filler more quickly.
You’ll also want to schedule maintenance treatments as recommended. Most Juvéderm® fillers last between six months and two years, depending on the product and treatment area. Touch-ups can keep you looking fresh without overdoing it.
How Do I Know Which Juvederm® Filler Is Right for Me?
Each Juvederm® filler is designed for a specific area or concern, like adding fullness to the cheeks, softening smile lines, or enhancing the lips. During your consultation, we’ll take a close look at your facial structure, skin condition, and goals. From there, we’ll recommend the right product or a combination of fillers that fits your needs.
What Should I Avoid Before and After Treatment?
Before treatment, it’s best to avoid alcohol, blood thinners (like aspirin or ibuprofen), and supplements like fish oil or vitamin E for about a week, since they can increase the chance of bruising.
After your appointment, skip strenuous exercise, saunas, or facial massages for 24-48 hours. We’ll give you simple aftercare instructions so you know exactly how to protect your results and minimize swelling or redness.
How Soon Will I See Results After Juvederm®?
Results with Juvederm® are visible right away, which is one of the reasons people love it. You might see some mild swelling or bruising at first, but most of that fades within a few days. As the filler settles and integrates with your skin, the final look typically appears within one to two weeks.
