What Does Pro-Nox Feel Like?
Pro-Nox uses nitrous oxide, often called laughing gas, to ease anxiety while you stay awake and responsive. You breathe it through a small nasal mask. It takes effect quickly and leaves the body soon after the procedure.
You can still talk with us and let us know if you need a break. Pro-Nox is not meant to make every sensation disappear. Instead, it can help settle nerves and make unfamiliar sensations feel more manageable.
When Can Pro-Nox Be Used?
You may dislike needles, worry about discomfort, or feel tense because you have never had a cosmetic procedure before. Tell us what is bothering you so we can explain what to expect and discuss what may help.
For Morpheus8, topical numbing cream is used before microneedles and radiofrequency energy are applied, and patients can control their Pro-Nox use during the procedure. It may also be available with Lumecca IPL, Procell MicroChanneling, and injectable visits such as BOTOX.
Because the right approach depends on the procedure and your needs, it is better to ask than assume Pro-Nox is right for every visit.

Pro-Nox is only one part of our approach. Products containing lidocaine are used when available, and ice can be used during certain procedures. We also leave time for questions before treatment starts, review aftercare before you leave, and remain available if questions come up afterward.
